"The rankings reflected our successes as a program last year," associate head softball coach Erica Hayworth said. "We grinded our way to wins last season and this season we are looking to build upon that. We have a completely new team, and our focus throughout the year and now is continuing to grind and be all gas, no brakes. Our team has a clear vision, and we have goals we want to accomplish. We have some of the best teams in the country on our schedule and we are looking to compete and get 1% better every day."
