Bobcats’ rally falls short at No. 14 Parkland
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Bryant & Stratton College (WI) women's basketball traveled to Illinois to take on the No.14-ranked Parkland Cobras Saturday night. They were also without standout player, in Trishena Brown for the third straight game.
The Bobcats started the game hot from three, hitting 40% of their long-range shots, and finished the first quarter down three points. The second quarter was all Bryant & Stratton as it outscored Parkland 20-14 and took a 33-30 lead into halftime.
However, the Cobras came out of the locker room with a defensive mindset. They held the Bobcats to just 24 points in the second half, while scoring 34 points.
Mia Ott poured in 26 points, shooting 55.6% from 3-point range and Megan Rockwell added 12 points of her own.
Bryant & Stratton will be at Mt. Mary for its home opening on Nov. 11.
