Bio

Brandon Siska enters his second season as the head women’s basketball coach at Bryant & Stratton College in 2023-2024. The Bobcats had a historic season in Siska’s first year at the helm: Regional Championship, elite 8 national appearance, finished 6th in the country, program best 29 wins, program best 24 regular season wins, program best 19 game win streak.

Coach Siska came to BSC after a remarkably successful 9-year high school head coaching career. Siska took over as head varsity girls basketball coach at Lake Mills High School (WI) in 2017-2018. Coach Siska inherited a program coming off a 2-21 season with a 0-10 conference record. In year one which would see predominantly freshman playing, the L-Cats improved their record to 5-17 (1-9) with an upset road playoff win to advance to the regional semi-final.

Year 2, of the 2018-2019 season would see a substantial improvement at Lake Mills. The youthful L-Cats, which had no juniors or seniors on the roster, made history finishing the season 17-6 (8-2) while winning the program's first ever conference championship. Lake Mills would win another post season game before a close loss to undefeated #1 seed, on the road, in the regional championship.

Year 3, of the 2019-2020 season, Lake Mills would be a historic year as they shattered most of the girls’ basketball program records. The L-Cats would finish 24-3 (9-1) winning their first outright conference title. The L-Cats won the program’s 4th regional championship, set the wins records for the season and conference play, won their first ever sectional game and punched their first ticket to state with their first ever sectional championship. Lake Mills would lose a close game after having its top two guards get injured in the first half including their all-state point guard tearing her ACL.

Year 4, of the 2020-2021 season, with lots of uncertainty due to COVID, missing their point guard for 1/3 of the season and losing their starting stretch 4 to transfer would be another historic season. The Siska lead L-Cats would improve to 25-2 (8-0) winning their 3rd straight conference title, 2nd consecutive regional/sectional championships, culminating with the programs first ever state championship. LM avenged both regular season losses to Marshall and Aquinas while beating 4 straight ranked opponents to claim their first state championship title. LM would beat Marshall who was coming off 2 state titles and 3 sectional-final appearances in the previous 3 seasons. The L-Cats set multiple records in the state championship game with their win over Aquinas. The win also ended Aquinas’s 97 game in-state win streak and the Bluegolds 37 game win streak.

Year 5, of the 2021-2022 season, after graduating 10 seniors, including all 5 starters the L-Cats would have another historical season. Coach Siska would lead the senior-less and inexperienced squad to the programs 4th consecutive conference championship, 3rd straight regional title and 20-win season finishing the season with a 20-6 (8-2) record. Siska’s Lake Mills teams also excelled in the classroom with a team GPA of at least 3.6 all 5 years.

Siska earned his first head coaching position at Draughn High School in North Carolina for the 2013-2014 season. Siska took over a struggling boy’s program. The Wildcats would see an improved record each leading the program to new heights in his final season at Draughn in 2016-2017. The Wildcats excelled in the classroom receiving the NCHSAA/National Guard Scholar Athlete team award all 4 seasons. With the Wildcats returning the majority of their roster for two more seasons Draughn promoted Head JV Coach Yates Jensen at the recommendation of Coach Siska. The Wildcats would go on to break the school wins record, win their first conference title, first conference tournament championship and playoff win over the following two seasons.

Brandon began his coaching career starting at the lower levels of middle school and freshman boy’s and girls’ basketball while working as a varsity assistant. Every team Siska coached at the lower level won more games than the previous season and went on to have immense success at the varsity level.

Siska graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from Calumet College of St. Joseph and received a MA in Athletic Administration and Coaching from Concordia University-Irvine. He played football and baseball collegiately. His younger brother, Jordan, signed to play baseball at NJCAA D2 College of Lake County. His younger sister, Cassi, led NJCAA D2 Kankakee Community College to national runner-up finish in 2007 as their point guard. She is one of the all-time leaders in assists and steals for KCC before moving on to play at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Brandon and his wife, Bridget are both from Northwest Indiana. They currently reside in Lake Mills with their two Children Brady and Lyla.
