WAUWATOSA, WI (July 2, 2018) - With the inaugural seasaon just over a month away, the Bryant & Stratton College's women's soccer OFFICIAL SCHEDULE has been released and after a long year of recruiting Bobcats head coach, Lucas Henderson, will look to set the tone for the program.
Although the Bobcats are a Division I level program, they will still square off against programs in both Division I and III.
Starting an inaugural program is not an easy task for any coach but Henderson is confident the program will be successful right away.
"The goal of this program in year one is to be able to rise to the level of our potential, and if we do that and stay healthy, we can compete for a Region IV championship right away," Henderson said.
With a roster majority full of freshman, Henderson will look to get his players adjusted to the pace of the college game quickly in order to be ready game one.
"I'm hoping the girls can experience what it takes at the next level and can adjust to the pace of play," Henderson said. "I hope they commit to the standards we're setting in training and in games."
Looking to put the program on the map quickly, Henderson spent his time this off-season recruiting players from multiple areas including Wisconsin, Illinois, California and the Bahamas.
With different backgrounds and playing experiences, Henderson is anxious to get the team together and get them prepared for an exciting season of Bryant & Stratton Soccer.
"What I'm looking forward to most is seeing these exciting student-athletes out on the field, all together for the first time," Henderson said.
The Bobcats play their home games at Hart Park Stadium.
