WAUWATOSA, WI (September 24, 2018) - The winning streak continues for the Bryant & Stratton College women's volleyball team as they went on the road monday evening and defeated South Suburban College 3-1 to improve to 9-5 overall and 8-2 in region competition.
Getting of to a strong start, the Bobcats took the first set 25-14 and the second set 25-15.
"We worked a lot on defense and coveiring in practice which was key to our success tonight," Bobcats head coach Heather Curley said.
A back and forth battle throughout the third set, the Bobcats came up short as the Bulldogs took the set 25-23.
"When this team is challenged they respond well," Curley said.
In the fourth and final set, the Bobcats saw themselves with a commanding 20-11 lead and went on their way to winning 25-14.
"We are off to a good start this season but know that we have some tough competition ahead of us. We will need to continue to improve every match and I am excited to see how far we can go."
As a team the Bobcats posted a .347K% and recorded 42 total digs.
Leading the way for the Bobcats was Andrea Miranda with 21 kills followed by Gabriela Lopez with 13 kills and Kyenna Stanley-Reckin with 12 kills.
Setter, Evelis Vicenty, produced 49 of the teams total 51 assists.

The Bobcats will prepare for the Kankakee Cavalier Classic taking place this weekend Friday through Saturday where the Bobcats will play four matches in two days.
The Bobcats will take the court against Olive-Harvey College in their opening match friday at 5:00pm. The Bobcats defeated Olive-Harvey 3-0 earlier this season and will look to have a similar result again.
